I wrote an directed the Shakespeare mash-up Billy Shakes and the Big Screen for Acting for Young People's Advanced Actors Showcase program. Working with Acting for Young People has encouraged me to stretch my creative muscles on a daily basis and this play is a perfect example. Using the plot and characters of Romeo and Juliet and The Tempest as a starting point, I crafted a 40-character, 1920s Hollywood-themed script that explores gender relationships and expectations for young people.
